Job DescriptionLHH is partnering with a company in the hospitality industry who is looking for a temporary to hire Accounting Clerk for their team. Your main tasks will include daily bank deposits, managing AR, and generating daily revenue reports. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience and have high attention to detail. This position is fully onsite in Seattle, WA.Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain and update accounting records, including ledgers, journals, and supporting documents.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Prepare and process invoices, checks, and payment vouchers.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account statuses.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system.
- File, scan, and organize financial documents ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policy.
- Monitor and track expenses and revenues, reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Support the finance team in various administrative and accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- At least three years of previous accounting experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and software as needed.
