Who You Are
- Eager to learn and passionate about animal care
- A clear and confident communicator
- Experienced in customer service and client-facing roles
- A dedicated team player who brings a positive attitude and is ready to jump in where needed
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance when something is unfamiliar
- Able to see the big picture and prioritize tasks to support the needs of the hospital
- Organized and effective at managing multiple responsibilities at once
- Prior experience as a veterinary assistant is preferred but not required
About the Position
Responsibilities will be tailored to your experience level. Early career assistants will focus on exam-room support, strong client communication, and assisting doctors and technicians. With training and mentorship, your responsibilities will expand, and you will be supported in developing essential technician-level skills, including:
- Drawing blood
- Placing IV catheters
- Monitoring patients
- Assisting in surgery
- Supporting doctors during exams and procedures
Full-Time Benefits and Compensation**
- Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus Package: Up to $500/year, based on experience
