Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of experience and NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification for a day shift assignment with rotating call.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Position is in an acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma designation
- Work within both Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology service lines
- Day shift Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating call including weekends and holidays
- Duties include bone scans (whole body and 3 phase), HIDA scans, GI Bleed, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid imaging, thyroid uptake, renal scans with Lasix, lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC imaging, and MPI stress tests
- Floating between general nuclear medicine and cardiology units as required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- All required modules must be completed before the start date
- Teal tops and black bottoms are required for the dress code
- Previous perm staff, including PRN, must be separated from the employer system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered at a local rate
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of application and is subject to approval
- During hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned emergency response duties

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current BLS certification required
- Must hold NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification
- ARRT(CT) certification is preferred but not required
- SCQRSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required if applicable
- Experience with the range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures listed in the job details
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must provide own radiation badge
