Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Bellevue, WA

Job Summary:
ICAN is looking for a team-oriented Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for working with children to join our multi-
disciplinary team. The ideal candidate wants to work in a dynamic environment, values collaboration with other professionals, isinnovative and seeking opportunities to develop and lead programs and grow in your field. Our clinicians play a vital role incollaborating across each patients team including our patient experience representatives and patient account specialists to ensureeach of ICANs patients receives high quality, individualized, wrap-around care.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain timely completion of all required clinical documentation
Collaborate and cooperate with multidisciplinary team to maximize quality comprehensive care
Provide parent training and support as needed
Assess for and order orthotics, assistive devices, and/or adaptive equipment as necessary

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or an Associates degree from a SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant Program
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations
Active license to practice in state of practice
Experience with pediatric populations
Essential Functions:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond
effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or
innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on
controversial or complex topics to top management, and/or public groups.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and
practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its
most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
1. Requires prolonged sitting or standing, often on the floor or child sized furniture and quick
transitions from sitting to standing positions
2. Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects ormaterials
3. Requires ability to utilize quick body movements
4. Requires ability to walk and run, if necessary, this includes on stairways
5. Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching
6.Able to work in noisy and crowded environments
7. The employee should be able to lift, safely block or move a child up to 50 pounds
8.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, andability to focus
