EHS Manager | Wayland, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Oversee environmental management systems, including waste management, air emissions, and wastewater discharge permitting.
- Lead the development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and foster a strong safety culture across the facility.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Proven ability to lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with advanced EHS management software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Gensuite).
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) designation.
- Experience leading sustainability initiatives or ESG reporting.
- Fluency in a second language relevant to the manufacturing workforce.
