Responsibilities for a Collections Specialist include but are not limited to:

Account Management: Monitor and locate overdue accounts, contacting customers via email and phone to determine reasons for delinquency and persuade payment or merchandise return.

Financial Reconciliation: Research and reconcile debits, credits, and payments on customer accounts while accurately posting received payments to ensure ledger integrity.

Issue Resolution: Listen to and identify invoicing issues, communicating findings to internal stakeholders and arranging debt repayment schedules based on the customer's financial situation.

Documentation: Maintain precise records of all collection activities, customer interactions, and performance feedback in compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
Candidates for Collections Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered:

Experience: High school diploma or GED required, along with 2–5 years of professional collections experience and exceptional debt recovery techniques.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, including the ability to handle escalated or upset customers professionally.

Technical Proficiency: Previous experience with computer applications like Microsoft Word and specialized collections software; ability to accurately document and record client information.

Professional Drive: After training, must demonstrate an internal drive to resolve past-due balances independently and manage one’s time effectively without constant supervision.

Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
