About The Job
The Junior Account Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the Sales Director or Account Sales Executive with mid-tier accounts, including but not limited to Burlington, Nordstrom Rack, and Macy’s, as well as international and off-price brands. This role requires an understanding of global market dynamics and the unique strategies associated with off-price retailing. The Junior Account Sales Executive will assist in account management and sales initiatives as directed by the Sales Director/Account Sales Executive and will act as the Account Sales Executive in their absence when necessary
What You Will Do:
- Share best seller recap with internal and external partners to build insights into future assortment strategies, with a focus on both domestic and international markets.
- Build strong relationships with buyers across multiple regions to enhance trust and gain insights into each individual account, including off-price and international partners.
- Visit stores and international locations on an ongoing basis to ensure best merchandising presentation is in place, and stock levels are aligned with floor set standards.
- Create line sheets in NuOrder prior to each market cycle, tailored to both domestic and international markets.
- Manage all samples and showroom presentation, ensuring alignment with global market expectations.
- Competitively shop both domestic and international markets to build a deeper understanding of our customer and identify future product opportunities and pricing strategies, with a specific focus on off-price trends.
- Run daily open order/NSR reports to ensure orders are aligned with inventory and ready-to-ship dates across various markets.
- Create and manage bulks accurately, with consideration of international logistics and off-price requirements.
- Work with production to ensure that goods are arriving on time and in full to fulfill orders, both domestically and internationally.
- Maintain a working knowledge and ownership of customer-specific requirements for ticketing, routing, and other account needs, including those unique to international and off-price accounts.
- Keep an open line of communication with external buying teams, including those in international regions, regarding the status of orders.
- Utilize Vendor Portals to upload images and product details per account requirements for online platforms, including those of international and off-price retailers, and pull sales and style info.
- Place buys for customer-specific orders, including those from international and off-price brands, and place production orders accordingly.
- Complete and manage customer item setup sheet templates for both domestic and international accounts.
- Match customer-specific buys/bulks against the projections provided to planning, ensuring alignment across regions
- Attend internal meetings with other departments such as Production, Planning, and Merchandising to support the order and product assortments, particularly with regard to international sales and off-price strategies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience working with department stores and off-price retailers, such as Macy’s, Nordstrom Rack, TJX, Ross, or Burlington, and familiarity with international markets.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant knowledge of sales and account management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for effective interpersonal communication across various regions.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workloads seamlessly, with the flexibility to adapt to different market demands.
- Strong business judgment and a sense of urgency; ability to work independently under critical time frames on multiple assignments, with a particular focus on international and off-price challenges.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data, drawing valid conclusions that show understanding and insight, with excellent problem-solving skills applicable to global and off-price markets.
- Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable in completing a diverse range of assignments in a timely manner, adaptable to change, and able to prioritize projects and workloads in different market environments.
- Willingness to travel to domestic and international accounts, attend professional work dinners, and participate in events when necessary.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work practices across various regions and retail segments.
