Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Bennettsville, SC is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for the upcoming contract school year (CSY). These roles support students from Pre-K through high school, providing specialized instruction and fostering growth for learners with diverse needs.

Responsibilities include:

Managing a Pre-K self-contained classroom for 3-4 year olds with a specialized caseload at a primary school.
Serving as a High School resource Special Education teacher, supporting approximately 22-25 students.
Potentially leading a High School self-contained classroom with about 10 students, based on district needs.
Collaborating with educators and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with educational standards.
Handling the physical demands of teaching young learners, including lifting and active classroom engagement.

Qualifications:

Active South Carolina teaching license with endorsements in Multi-Categorical Special Education and Early Childhood Education.
Experience working with Pre-K to high school special education populations.
Ability to manage self-contained and resource classrooms.
Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Physical capability to meet the demands of the classroom environment.

This role requires onsite presence during regular school hours (37.5 hours/week) within a K-12 setting. The district is looking to fill two to three positions in this contract opportunity.
