We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Canoga Park. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for electrical construction projects ranging from $100,000-$10,000,000. The ideal candidate has strong experience with commercial electrical scopes and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and scope documents to develop accurate electrical cost estimates.
- Perform detailed takeoffs for power distribution, lighting, controls, and low voltage systems.
- Quantify labor, materials, equipment, gear packages, and subcontractor needs.
- Prepare complete proposals and bid packages for commercial, industrial, and public projects.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for alignment with project scope and schedule.
- Conduct site walks to assess existing conditions and identify cost impacts.
- Partner with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans and budgets.
- Track bids, maintain pricing databases, and identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy.
- Stay current with local codes, NEC requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of electrical estimating experience with projects between $100,000-$10,000,000.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of California building codes and electrical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
