We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pathologists Assistant to support both inpatient and outpatient anatomic pathology services in a collaborative, high-performing laboratory environment.

Position Overview

The Pathology Specialist (Pathologists Assistant) plays a critical role in the examination, preparation, and processing of surgical specimens. This position supports a department serving a 397-bed facility and contributes to accurate and timely diagnostic services.

This role reports to the Laboratory Manager and does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens

Prepare and document specimens for histologic processing

Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of pathology reports

Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards

Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow

Support continuous improvement and development of laboratory processes

Qualifications

Required:

Current certification as PA(ASCP)

Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills

High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure

Preferred:

Well-rounded experience in anatomic pathology specimen processing
