Job DescriptionBuyerPay: $28.50 - $31.50/hr Work Hours: 7-4pm or 8-5pmLong Term Temporary Opportunity, possible temp to hire at a later dateAfter 90 days we can offer one-day per week remote work
Position Overview:
The Buyer is responsible for managing and procuring inventory and supplies across multiple locations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate purchasing records, coordinating with vendors, and supporting inventory audits to ensure seamless procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee procurement of inventory and supplies for multiple locations, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Issue purchase orders to vendors, verify material details, delivery dates, and pricing for accuracy.
  • Receiving & Oracle Coordination: Work closely with the receiving team to ensure accurate product receipt in Oracle.
  • Vendor Relations: Process new vendor setup in Oracle, collaborate with vendors for price quotations and product availability, and resolve payment issues.
  • Purchasing & Industry Analysis: Support purchasing management with price benchmarking, vendor management, process improvement, market research, and model building.
  • Performance Monitoring: Manage aging purchase orders, review utilization, and establish KPI tracking for purchasing progress; and manager supplier score cards.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to purchasing policies, procedures, and processes while contributing to ongoing improvements in procurement operations.
  • Other Duties: Execute additional responsibilities as required by the department.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 yrs experience in procurement, inventory management, or purchasing operations.
  • Must have experience in Manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in verifying purchase orders and inventory accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Oracle or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to meet critical deadline requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor collaboration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams; including remote locations
  • Good excel knowledge (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
