Be part of an exciting new chapter at the Missouri Athletic Club with the opening of MAC Clayton, the Club's newest location, designed to carry forward more than 120 years of tradition into a modern and elevated experience. Anticipated to open early 2026, MAC Clayton will feature state-of-the-art facilities, refined dining, and thoughtfully designed spaces for athletics, wellness, and social connection. This new Clubhouse will serve as a cornerstone for members seeking excellence in hospitality, culinary innovation, and community engagement. We are seeking polished, welcoming Hosts to serve as the first point of contact for members and guests-guiding them through the clubhouse, assisting with wayfinding, and supporting the dining and lounge experience.
Host Responsibilities:
· Deliver a warm, polished, and anticipatory greeting to all members at the club entrance and throughout the dining and lounge areas.
· Serve as a welcoming presence in the Trophy Lounge, providing directional assistance, light concierge-style guidance, and basic amenity information.
· Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments with strong communication and attention to pacing.
· Escort members to dining areas-Table 14, Trophy Lounge seating, bar areas, and private rooms-ensuring a seamless handoff to FOH staff.
· Maintain an organized and elevated appearance of the entrance, host stand, lounge entry, and adjacent spaces.
· Recognize members by name when possible and personalize greetings using private-club etiquette.
· Assist with coat check, menus, phone inquiries, and other guest-facing touches that elevate the member experience.
· Communicate actively with Servers, Bartenders, Supervisors, and Managers to support flow, table readiness, and service timing.
· Demonstrate polished communication, high situational awareness, and a welcoming demeanor at all times.
Host Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience as a greeter, host, concierge, front desk agent, or guest relations associate in luxury restaurants, hotels, or private clubs preferred.
· Warm, professional communication skills and an intuitive sense of hospitality.
· Strong organizational abilities and comfort with reservation management systems (training provided).
· Professional appearance and confident, poised presence.
· Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume periods.
· Strong interpersonal awareness, with the ability to anticipate member needs and provide discreet, thoughtful assistance.
· A genuine passion for creating memorable first impressions and guiding high-end guest experiences.
