Customer Service Specialist
Overview:
StaffBuffalo is working with a global trading and logistics organization to hire a full-time Customer Service Specialist. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international business environment and enjoys managing multiple moving parts at once. In this position, you will support high-value contracts and shipments, ensuring each order is executed accurately from start to finish.
Based in Getzville, NY, this on-site role partners closely with internal commercial teams, customers, suppliers, warehouses, and freight providers. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and confident communicating with domestic and international partners. Responsibilities:
• Manage customer service responsibilities for assigned customers and contracts
• Handle purchase orders, phone and email inquiries, and order-related questions
• Oversee documentation including letters of credit, bills of lading, invoices, and warehouse records
• Coordinate with warehouses, producers, and trucking companies to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Negotiate freight rates and approve logistics-related costs as needed
• Troubleshoot shipment issues, including rerouting freight and resolving delays
• Monitor accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing to ensure customers remain current

Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Supply Chain preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience required; 5+ years strongly preferred
• Experience with contracts, logistics, or supply chain operations highly valued
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including international correspondence
• High attention to detail and comfort managing high-value shipments
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems and multitask across multiple screens
• Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills -

• Salary range of $55,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience
