Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking vitals, rooming patients, and providing exceptional customer service. You will greet and chaperone patients during their visits, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Responsibilities
- Take and record patient vitals accurately.
- Room patients efficiently and prepare them for examination.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all patients.
- Greet and accompany patients throughout their visit.
- Assist in maintaining electronic health records.
- Support physicians with patient care and education.
- Perform phlebotomy and other medical assisting duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in medical assisting and phlebotomy.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care.
- Ability to measure and interpret blood pressure readings.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in internal medicine and pediatric care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
The clinic is located offsite and includes an onsite lab. You will work under the supervision of an MD and engage in both virtual and in-person patient visits. The patient demographics are diverse, including pediatric cases. Visits are scheduled in 20-minute intervals, with an average of 24 patients seen daily. The team is highly focused on providing great patient care and ensuring a supportive, family-oriented work environment where autonomy is valued.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Ynez, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
