- Local: $40 to $47/hour
- Travel: $48 to $53.50/hour
Shift Details
- Primary Schedule: Day Shifts – 5x8-hour shifts
- 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 07:00 PM
- Additional Coverage: Mix of 4x8-hour and 4x12-hour shifts
- 07:00–15:30 | 11:00–19:30 | 15:00–23:30
- 07:00–19:30 | 11:00–23:30

Job Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to join a high-acuity Adult Operating Room team in Syracuse, NY. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong experience in trauma and multi-specialty surgical procedures who thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms in accordance with established protocols
- Scrub in and assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper instrument sterilization
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical draping
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments efficiently
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies
- Accurately document procedures and maintain records
Specialty Experience Required
Candidates must have recent scrub experience across multiple specialties, including:
- Trauma
- Orthopedic
- General Surgery
- ENT
- Vascular
- GYN
- Neurosurgery
- Bariatric
- Genitourinary (GU)
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience within the last 4 years
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or similar acute care setting preferred
- First-time travelers considered with strong, comparable hospital experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
