Job Description:
A millwork estimator generates detailed proposals for the finishing woodwork for construction projects, such as cabinetry, reception desks, countertops, upholstered seating and other case good items.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bid submittals for Architectural Millwork / commercial casework
- New customer development within the millwork industry: seek out relationships with General Contractors & Architects.
- Familiarize self with AWS construction standards and bid Millwork accordingly.
- Collaborate with Engineering on construction methods, hardware standards and general assembly and quality expectations.
- Reviewing architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Compiling project specifications and materials requirements.
- Procuring pricing for the woodwork required by the project.
- Building and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure your clients get the best prices possible for labor and materials.
Software Usage:
- Versatile uses both Microvellum cabinet software (version 7), & Autocad, for Drafting
- Blueprint Analyzer is used for takeoffs
- Global Shop Solutions ERP system is used for production.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Effectively and professionally communicate inside and outside the organization.
- Travel is minimal but some local job site meetings or pre-bid walk thru may be required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Vice President of
Sales which may include assisting the draftsman or project manager
Employment & Compensation:
- The Estimator will report to the Versatile office Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (somewhat flexible)
- Paid Vacation & Benefits such as health, Dental & Vision are provided by the company. Eligibility for 401K participation after a year of employment.

- All employees are eligible for quarterly bonuses based on the company’s profitability.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 -$80,000.00 Based off experience
