Pharmacy Support Associate – Onsite | Cheektowaga, NY
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Part-time, 24–32 hours per week
Fridays and Sundays are mandatory
Typical Schedule:
- Sunday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Monday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm

Job Summary
The Pharmacy Support Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently filling prescription requests in an automated refill setting. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role involves preparing, packaging, sorting, and distributing medications in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate maintains consistent workflow, achieves daily production goals, and performs effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.
- Retrieve and process Unit of Use and bulk medication items.
- Verify medication size and strength before filling orders.
- Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells to full capacity.
- Use handheld scanners to track and verify products for replenishment.
- Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Process orders for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA laws and all pharmacy safety and privacy procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Participate in mandatory overtime as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and carry 20–30 lbs. consistently.
- Able to stand/walk for 8+ hours per shift.
- Bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping required.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Visual acuity to read computer screens, scanners, and labels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations or warehouse environments.
- Pharmacy Technician degree (not required in NYS).
- Proficiency with computers and handheld scanning systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
