Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire experienced Industrial Electrician Apprentices and Electrician Helpers for the Pascagoula, Mississippi area. The Apprentices and Helpers do not require a TWIC initially, but will need one eventually down the line once they start working. This is for a 4-year project - demo work phase and new construction of a facility afterwards. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working day shifts. Will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen before being hired. Weekly pay by direct deposit. No per diem is offered.

Apprentices and Helpers' starting pay rate is $17/hr.

Need to have some experience bending conduit (EMT & rigid).

Job Responsibilities:

• Help install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
• Assist with reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Help install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Assist with the installation and testing of switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Help maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Bend and install conduit.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Job Requirements:

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• TWIC Card is a major + but not required until later.
• At least 1 year of electrical experience for the Apprentices and Helpers, also including bending conduit.
• Need to have basic hand tools, all PPE, and reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the US.
