Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position within a K-12 setting in the Denver area, specifically at two schools: one placement is at Coronado Hills Elementary and the other at Thunder Vista P-8. Both positions require working in co-teaching classrooms during the 2025-26 school year. The roles are contract-based, running from ASAP through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to young learners with diverse exceptionalities in an inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement co-teaching strategies that support student growth
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Foster positive communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with state and district requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification
- Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement is mandatory
- Experience working with early childhood populations in special education settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in multidisciplinary teams
