RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
\n• Must be available to be scheduled any day of the week
\n• Must be able to work holidays if needed
\n• Handle 12 cases per shift on average, working on 10-15 cases simultaneously
\n• Facilitate patient transfers from hospitals within and outside of the health system
\n• Conduct patient assessments, obtain vitals, and gather clinical information
\n• Find accepting physicians and specialist doctors for patient placements
\n• Request beds at appropriate facilities using established hospital networks
\n• Work with multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect, and Google applications
\n• Communicate with physicians and specialists via text and chat platforms
\n• Position involves zero hands-on patient care - administrative transfer coordination role
\n• Minimum 2 years of ICU, ED, or transfer center experience required
\n• Acute care experience mandatory
\n• Must have Cerner or EPIC experience
\n• Strong computer skills and typing abilities essential
\n• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
\n• Dress code allows scrubs of any color or casual attire including clean jeans and hoodies
\n• 1 day general hospital orientation plus 3-5 days department-specific training
\n• No floating required
\n• RTO needs to be very limited to none
