Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Technician to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in custom conveyor belt fabrication and servicing. This hands‑on role supports customers across the food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and heavy equipment industries and plays a key role in delivering high‑quality conveying solutions.

This position is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy working with machinery, tools, and technical drawings in a production environment while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate rubber and plastic conveyor belts and related products using machinery, equipment, and hand tools
  • Operate manufacturing equipment while following established procedures and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, job orders, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Monitor production processes and perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
  • Maintain accurate production records including quantities, time tracking, and material usage
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency, safety, and quality
  • Assist with the implementation of new equipment, tooling, or production processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
  • Occasionally perform off‑site service work and weekend work as required

Required Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong math skills with the ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a forklift / lift truck
  • Physically capable of standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting 50+ lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of conveyor belts and conveyor systems
  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent mechanical/manufacturing experience
  • 5–10 years of industry experience in manufacturing, conveyor systems, or industrial equipment
  • Experience working with production machinery, fabrication tools, or industrial assemblies
