Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Technician to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in custom conveyor belt fabrication and servicing. This hands‑on role supports customers across the food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and heavy equipment industries and plays a key role in delivering high‑quality conveying solutions.
This position is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy working with machinery, tools, and technical drawings in a production environment while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate rubber and plastic conveyor belts and related products using machinery, equipment, and hand tools
- Operate manufacturing equipment while following established procedures and OSHA safety guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, job orders, blueprints, and work instructions
- Monitor production processes and perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
- Maintain accurate production records including quantities, time tracking, and material usage
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency, safety, and quality
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment, tooling, or production processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
- Occasionally perform off‑site service work and weekend work as required
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Strong math skills with the ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Ability to operate a forklift / lift truck
- Physically capable of standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting 50+ lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of conveyor belts and conveyor systems
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent mechanical/manufacturing experience
- 5–10 years of industry experience in manufacturing, conveyor systems, or industrial equipment
- Experience working with production machinery, fabrication tools, or industrial assemblies
