Summary of Responsibilities:
The Internal Control Manager will be responsible for participation in developing and implementing the company’s procurement systems and procedures within the supply chain activities of indirect materials and services. Key responsibilities include the development of advanced organizational procurement policies and procedures, enforcement on procurement compliance, vendor and contract lifecycle management and achieving value for money and cost-efficiency targets.

Within this scope of work, this individual will ensure purchases are authorized and necessary, prevent fraud and conflicts of interest, maintain proper documentation and audit trail, ensure effectiveness in the indirect purchasing process, identify weaknesses in current work processes and implement methods to minimize risks and enforcement of compliance.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works collaboratively with individuals and teams across the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT department to help implement internal procurement system.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for spend management, supplier development and oversite, category buying, contracts, vendor managed inventory and rating processes amongst others.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to user departments in the procurement processes, enforcing compliance to the policies and requirements of internal controls.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective sourcing and delivery of materials, services and/or equipment to user departments.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness, quality and timely procurement and delivery of all supplier services.
  • Coordinate and support user departments on supplier pre-qualification, selection and development processes, quotation, tender and contract signing processes in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Manage development and preparation of indirect purchase contracts and ensure all contracts renewal reviews are done on time.
  • Preparing appropriate financial, analytical, and procurement reports.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, supply chain management or any other related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in local and international procurement.
  • Sound sales and marketing, warehousing, distribution, logistics, office administration and IT procurement knowledge preferably in multi-user/network environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERPs and excellent use of computer-based tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and sound decision making ability.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation, analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, resourceful and possess high drive to excel.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Salary Range: $85k to $110k

Travel
This position may require up to 15% travel.

Work Environment:
This job operates in professional office, retail, and outdoor environments as well as virtually. Expect to work 3-5 days/week in the office and 0-2 days/week virtually when not traveling.
