Job Description

Our client, Providence Inc., is hiring a full-time Benefits Account Manager.

At Providence, Inc, we believe work should be meaningful, rewarding, and impactful. If you're someone who enjoys uncovering those “aha” moments, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a real difference, then Providence is the place for you.

As one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing private companies in America, we are proud of our success and the people who make it happen. We’re currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager who shares our passion for service excellence and upholds what we call The Providence Standard—a commitment to responsiveness, integrity, and a personal touch.

We currently have an opportunity for a Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits team.

The Account Manager (AM) supports the Benefits Consultant (BC) as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned employee benefits clients, helping deliver strategic brokerage and consulting services related to health and welfare benefit plans. The AM plays a key role in enhancing the efficiency of the BC by assisting with meeting coordination, benchmarking, marketing activities, reporting, annual notices, contract reviews, and maintaining internal systems and checklists.

The AM works closely with BCs and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support client needs and service activities. Responsibilities include executing client strategies, preparing reports and presentations, maintaining internal systems, and serving as a trusted client contact. BCs lead the overall client strategy within an assigned book of business, while SMEs provide expertise and support on specialized topics.

In This Role, You Will

  • Respond promptly and professionally to the service needs of clients and internal partners.
  • Assist BCs with adding lines of coverage to existing accounts.
  • Support the RFP and marketing process by organizing carrier responses, preparing spreadsheets, and verifying accuracy of materials.
  • Coordinate employee communications and open enrollment materials for clients.
  • Prepare renewals, gather updated client information, develop renewal proposals, and support renewal activities in collaboration with the BC.
  • Assist with client renewal changes, including carrier implementations and new product offerings.
  • Prepare meeting summaries and manage follow-up action items to completion.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of clients’ businesses and industries.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers and vendor partners, including knowledge of their products and services.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of insurance products and industry practices while working independently.
  • Ensure all required client documentation and internal filings are completed accurately and timely.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and support.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Providence resources, systems, and tools.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with company procedures and applicable state and federal insurance regulations.
  • Maintain applicable licensing and continuing education requirements.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including delivering group presentations using a variety of media.
