Women’s Healthcare Associates is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN and Women’s Health team. As a key member of our integrated care model, you will provide essential reproductive and preventive health services to women of all ages—improving outcomes for all our patients.

Duties: The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position. The position may require other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned, and specific functions may change from time to time.

Assess patient status by obtaining health history through patient and family interviews, chart reviews, and evaluation of presenting illness, risk factors, family history, and cultural considerations; perform appropriate physical examinations.

Order and/or perform laboratory, diagnostic, and screening tests; seek additional information as needed, including consultations with physicians and other clinicians, to evaluate illness. Integrate findings to establish diagnoses, develop therapeutic plans, and identify potential health risks.

Conduct well-woman exams, including routine screenings, Pap smears, contraceptive counseling, preventive care,and routine obstetrical care.

Educate patients on lifestyle, nutrition, contraception, pregnancy, and preventive health measures.

Delivers infant and performs postpartum examinations and treatments to ensure patient and infant are responding normally. Stays with patient during labor to reassure patient and to administer medication.

Administers stipulated emergency measures and arranges for immediate contact of obstetrician when deviations from standard are encountered during pregnancy or delivery.

Visits patient during postpartum period in hospital to examine patient and instruct in care of self and infant.

Maintains standards of certification requirements through continuing education programs.

Accurately document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Manage chronic gynecologic conditions, menopause care, and patient education.

Perform in-office procedures (IUD, Nexplanon, biopsies, etc., if credentialed).

Serve as a trusted provider and advocate for women’s health across the lifespan.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Proven experience in Ob/Gyn settings with a focus on labor & delivery.

Familiarity with acute care, outpatient services, and NICU experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and medical documentation practices.

Experience with patient monitoring techniques and assessment protocols.

Background in nursing or related fields is highly desirable.

Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.
