This contract position offers the opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within an elementary school setting in Minneapolis, MN. The role primarily involves delivering direct therapy services to students, focusing exclusively on treatment rather than evaluations. This assignment covers multiple maternity leaves across several schools from mid-December 2025 through the end of May 2026, with consistent weekday hours totaling 37.5 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students under a 3:1 service delivery model (three weeks of direct services followed by one week of indirect services).
  • Manage a caseload comprised mainly of elementary students, including some in Setting III CDC.
  • Collaborate with the evaluation team, focusing solely on therapy without conducting evaluations.
  • Serve at various locations, including Brooklyn Center, Blaine elementary schools, and Roosevelt Middle School, coordinating schedules to cover specific maternity leaves as outlined.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress according to district guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current valid state license for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Eligible candidates include Clinical Fellows; applicants must not be SLPA.
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a school setting preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and effectively manage multiple caseloads.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with school staff and the evaluation team.

Benefits and Work Environment:

  • Work a structured Monday through Friday schedule, full-time hours with some onsite presence required.
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school district serving diverse student needs.
  • Supportive team environment focused on student growth and success.

This role requires a license and resume submission for consideration. Take the next step in your career by applying to deliver impactful speech and language services to students in need throughout this leave coverage period.

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.72 to $58.72. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
