Job Summary
Provides direct clinical care to adult and geriatric patients within the Cardiovascular Laboratory. This role involves continuous physiological monitoring, assisting with procedural readiness, and collaborating closely with physicians to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a surgical environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Licensure:Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Certifications:Current AHA BCLS and ACLS certifications (must be maintained).
- Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring:Continuously assess and record psychosocial, physical, and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Physician Collaboration:Maintain constant communication with the medical team regarding changes in patient condition.
- Lab Readiness:Ensure the procedural room is prepared by obtaining supplies, maintaining inventory, and verifying equipment functionality.
- Quality & Improvement:Actively participate in performance improvement (PI) and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
