Accounting Specialist – Property Management
North Fort Myers, FL
Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join a growing property management organization. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong full-cycle accounting experience.


Position Overview:
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and assisting with reporting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in accounting systems, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions
  • Process payroll and provide backup support as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records


Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports
  • Assist with budget tracking and updates
  • Audit financial data for accuracy and compliance
  • Support financial planning and reporting activities


Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain and update accounting systems, including QuickBooks
  • Perform data integrity checks, backups, and system updates
  • Manage chart of accounts and financial records
  • Generate financial reports and analysis as needed


Compliance & Coordination

  • Assist with collections and coordinate with external partners when needed
  • Support investment tracking and account management
  • Provide financial reporting to leadership and stakeholders


Customer & Team Support

  • Respond to accounting-related inquiries professionally and accurately
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operations
  • Assist with onboarding or training support as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience (property management experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR and reconciliations
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
