Position / Specialty\nPVH Medical Physicist\nShift: 8 hours shifts flex start time throughout the week (Mon-Fri)( 7a-8p) clinic hours\nAverage daily Census- 130-150\nCert requirements: Master's degree in in Medical Physics, Physics, Radiation Biology, or related field.\nAmerican Board of Radiology (ABR) certified\nYears of experience REQ: Aria v15+ Experience, Eclipse V15+ Experience, 3+years Varian TrueBeam experience, minimum 3 years post residency.\nFirst-timers accepted: yes, must meet experience requirements\nWeekend REQ: no\nIs on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? no\nWill this traveler need to float between like units? No\nstate license: yes -State requires Physicists to obtain an RMP license through the State of Colorado (102usd) this form would have to be filled out, with our requirements of them being board certified, they will need to provide proof to the state that they are board certified, copy of their education and potentially work experience.\nSpecial Requirements:\nResponsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to patients. This role involves collaborating with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to design and implement treatment plans, calibrate and maintain radiation equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.\nResponsibilities:\nPerforms equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance (QA) testing on treatment devices to ensure they are operating within specified parameters, addressing technical issues or discrepancies, patient-specific quality assurance testing, and routine maintenance testing and troubleshooting equipment problems to minimize downtime.\nSupports treatment plan development and review, including collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists during the treatment planning process, review, and approval of patient treatment plans, and ensuring accuracy and clinical protocol compliance of dosimetry calculations.\nSupervise special procedures, such as SRS/SBRT treatment sessions or brachytherapy procedures, and ability to cross-cover most clinical responsibilities.\nProfessional development, clinical projects, and participation in Quality Improvement/Process Improvement.\n\n1028730
