Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care at a community hospital in Hawi, HI. This contract position allows a skilled respiratory professional to apply their expertise in acute care respiratory therapy across all patient populations, including adults, children, and newborns.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Respiratory Therapy license valid in the State of Hawaii
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience as a staff Respiratory Therapist, with at least two (2) years focused on acute care for adults, pediatric, and neonatal patients
  • Compliance requirements must be completed at least 10 days before the contract start date; failure to comply will delay the start date without extending contract duration
  • No Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed during the initial contract period

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all phases of respiratory therapy to acute care patients, including ventilator management, airway care, and emergency respiratory interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient respiratory health and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records, comply with hospital protocols, and uphold patient safety standards
