Working as a travel RN in a dedicated stepdown/tele setting grants you exposure to a variety of patient acuities, innovative workplace practices, and diverse leadership approaches. Schedule/Hrs:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week; 48-hour weeks available upon request
- Every third weekend and alternate holidays
- Start: 5/4 or 5/18 (bi-weekly orientation)
Qualifications:
- Current active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in stepdown/PCU
- Recent EPIC charting experience (check-off required)
- Proficiency in tele interpretation (must pass tele competency), titration of insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and adaptability skills
Preferred: PIV insertion, vent management, drain management, blood product administration, and precepting/mentoring experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to stepdown/PCU populations with drips and complex medical conditions (including CHF, COPD, sepsis)
- Collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a seasoned team
- Float within primary and nearby affiliated facilities as needed
- Maintain high standards in patient assessment and intervention
