It acquires companies and introduces new offerings that extend beyond the codes and standards, and training offered by NFPA. The first new offering of NFPA Global Advisors, was launched in March of 2024, to support governments in relation to the NFPA Fire & Life Safety Ecosystem. NFPA Global Solutions recently announced the acquisition of Dyne Fire Protection Labs.
Dyne Fire Protection Labs is an independent testing laboratory with 25 years of experience providing quick, reliable, and independent analysis of fire sprinklers, firefighting foams, antifreeze solutions, and dry chemical agents to help building owners and/or their designated representatives fulfill various laboratory requirements in inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) standards. It is known for its in-depth technical competence, outstanding customer service and extremely fast delivery of test results.
Dyne Fire Protection Labs is seeking a laboratory technician to be responsible for testing and reporting results on the numerous tests completed on firefighting foam, antifreeze solutions, dry chemical agents, and fire sprinklers. This job will consist of a variety of duties throughout the week, rotating between testing within the foam and fire sprinkler labs. The laboratory technician may also occasionally be asked to complete various internal research tasks either on their own or in a group.
Perform routine analytical laboratory tests in accordance with the published test procedures
- Assist with various laboratory administrative duties
- Complete internal research as requested
- Assist with other duties as communicated by supervisor and rotate among multiple workstations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science major or previous laboratory technician experience
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Understanding of basic chemical concepts and properties
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with numerical analysis
- Ability to follow instructions with an attention to detail
- Ability to work well and coordinate with team members in a laboratory setting
- Ability to work on their feet for up to 7 hours per day
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and projects
- Willingness to follow ISO 9001 and 17025 standards
Job Type: Full-time/ 8:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday and Friday 9:00- 3:00
Pay: $22.00 per hour
