Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience and Epic proficiency within the past 2 years.
Details
- Work in the Women's and Children's L&D unit of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes laboring patients and newborns, with responsibilities spanning the full LDRP continuum
- 12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- Minimum every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Floating required within the unit
- On-call required: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per rolling 4-week period
- Epic EMR used; experience from within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- 4-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license; VT or compact license required (NY license accepted with proof of pending)
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
- LDRP experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including initiating or participating in neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
- At least 2 references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required for consideration — at least 1 from within the past 6 months and 1 from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position; prior travel experience is required
