Schedule: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Shift: Day Shift
Contract Length: 8-week contract

Compensation

  • Local: $50–$57 per hour

  • Travel: $50–$67 per hour

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking a Registered Echo Technician / Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures in an acute care setting. This role primarily supports pediatric patient populations and works collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms in accordance with established protocols and physician orders

  • Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images for accurate diagnostic interpretation

  • Prepare patients for procedures and clearly explain the examination process

  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation

  • Ensure proper operation, care, and routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment

  • Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and patient care standards

  • Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare staff to support optimal patient outcomes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Echo Technician / Sonographer

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience performing stress echocardiography

  • Pediatric cardiac sonography experience strongly preferred

Education Requirements

Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training, if applicable)

Certifications & Licensure

Required (one of the following):

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – ARDMS, or

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – CCI

Additional Requirement:

  • BLS (AHA) certification
