A rewarding opportunity is available for a registered nurse with specialized experience in cardiac care to support critical patients on a dedicated Heart and Vascular Recovery unit. This contract role involves working the night shift, providing skilled nursing for post-cardiac procedural patients in a telemetry-focused stepdown environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cardiac telemetry and post-procedural care, ensuring excellent patient outcomes through close monitoring and interdisciplinary coordination.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license eligible or valid in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years experience in cardiac stepdown, pre/post cardiac care, and cardiac telemetry in an inpatient setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Familiarity with telemetry equipment and vascular recovery nursing practices
- Team-oriented with flexibility to float to same or lower level units as needed
- Professional adherence to dress code and patient confidentiality standards

Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to post-cardiac procedure patients in an 8-bed unit
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and other clinical tools
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Uphold strict patient rights, confidentiality, and safety protocols
- Participate in unit float coverage and assist with other appropriate patient care areas
Additional Details:
- Night shift: 19000730, 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- No call requirements; weekend hours by exception
- 13-week contract assignment
