Controller

Crossroads Trading, one of the leading buy sell trade fashion retailers in the nation, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting department and help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Salary Range: 130K-180K

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • In conjunction with the CEO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
  • Develop and maintain management reporting and analytics.
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years proven accounting experience, preferably 5 years at a senior level.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards (GAAP).
  • Strong understanding of banking processes.
  • Strong communication and financial data analysis skills.
  • Experience with ERP system preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting preferred.
  • CPA highly preferred.

This is a hybrid role. The first 6 months of the position are in office 5 days. After that, a hybrid 3 office/2 remote day schedule is available.
