Laboratory Information Systems Analyst (Beaker/DI)
Contract-to-Hire
Location: Prefer Atlanta-based candidates but open to full remote in any of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Indiana, Virginia, or Ohio
This Laboratory Information Systems Analyst will be supports and enhances laboratory information systems across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless integration between laboratory operations, clinical workflows, and enterprise systems. This role provides technical expertise, application support, and project coordination for key laboratory platforms—including Epic Beaker (CP/AP), Haemonetics SafeTrace, RALS, Telcor, and related point-of-care (POC) systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong DI/Instrument Management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application support, build, and configuration for laboratory information systems and Epic Beaker modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system or workflow issues in collaboration with lab operations, IT teams, and vendors.
- Ensure systems remain compliant with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards (CAP, HIPAA, AABB, JCAHO).
- Monitor and maintain interface connections between instruments and applications.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
- Support project planning, task tracking, and documentation across implementation and optimization phases.
- Act as liaison between laboratory staff, IT, and external vendors to ensure technology supports clinical and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare IT or as a Laboratory Information Systems Analyst.
- Epic Beaker CP certification preferred.
- Strong DI/Instrument Manager experience with Beaker.
- Experience supporting or building Epic Beaker or other LIS applications (Sunquest, CoPath, SafeTrace, RALS, etc.).
- Knowledge of SQL, HL7, and laboratory instrumentation interfaces preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
