Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year at a charter high school located in Federal Heights, CO. This position involves working with moderate to severe classrooms and includes case management responsibilities. Candidates must be strong in managing paperwork and have experience with Colorado special education classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a moderate to severe needs high school classroom.
- Serve as the case manager, overseeing individualized education plans and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure student success and meet state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely paperwork in line with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) standards.
- Engage flexibly with students and staff to meet the evolving needs of the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching special education in Colorado schools.
- Familiarity with Colorado SPED regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ability to manage case loads with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Active Colorado Department of Education teaching license or an application in progress.
- Willingness to work onsite full-time.
