As a Pavement Marking Professional, you will be responsible for installing and repairing pavement markings, including preparing work areas, transporting materials, and operating various marking equipment such as Thermoplastic, Paint, MMA, and RPM’s.

Additionally, if you take on a leadership role, you will guide and oversee daily operations of the striping crew, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget. You will assign appropriate tasks to crew members based on their skills and experience, offering support and direction to ensure project goals are met. Throughout the process, you will maintain punctuality, demonstrate flexibility, and stay committed to delivering quality work in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute both temporary and permanent striping in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Supervise a team in completing striping projects on public highways, streets, and other designated areas.
• Communicate with inspectors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project scope, timeline, and quality.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company and state safety guidelines and ensuring all team members wear required safety equipment.
• Promote team morale and productivity by setting clear expectations and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Operate and maintain striping equipment, including airless and conventional stripers, Graco Line Drivers, and other hand and power tools.
• Train team members on safety protocols, equipment handling, and striping techniques.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, complies with regulations (e.g., VDOT, PADOT, MDOT, SCOT, ODOT) and aligns with project requirements.
• Manage daily operations, monitor inventory, and submit progress reports and time sheets.
• Maintain company equipment, perform routine maintenance, and clean equipment as required.
• Perform additional duties, including assisting with job site coordination and reporting accidents or incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, mileage, and vehicle inspections in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to meet company vehicle insurability requirements.
• Valid CDL A or B State Driver’s License with two years of driving experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds repetitively and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and walking long distances.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and drug testing.
• Proficient in receiving, understanding, and communicating specific instructions.
• Must prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and team-oriented mindset.
