Shift: Rotating Days, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Mo, Tu, Fr, Sa one week → Su, We, Th the following week
Every other weekend off

Job Summary

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of recyclable materials throughout the facility. This role includes grading materials, preparing them for transport, and ensuring quality standards are met for sale destinations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and balers safely and efficiently

  • Load trailers with prepared recyclable materials

  • Monitor, grade, and evaluate recyclable materials for proper handling and shipping

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Move materials using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, and hoists

  • Load materials into trailers, securing with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage

  • Utilize PC tablets to enter and retrieve data (e.g., part numbers, quantities, and locations)

  • Transport materials from storage or work areas to designated sites

  • Tag or label materials accurately for tracking and identification

  • Complete documentation and reports for materials handled

  • Perform material audits to ensure quality and compliance

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 0–4 years of prior experience in a similar role

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED plus specialized training or certifications

  • Experience in recycling, warehouse, or logistics environments

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Regularly requires motor coordination with hands, arms, fingers, and legs

  • Frequently handles items up to 50 pounds

  • Regular pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting

  • Work performed in a recycling facility—exposure to dirt, odors, loud noise, and varying weather conditions (heat or cold)
