This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity offers the chance to work across K-12 classrooms serving diverse learners in a collaborative educational environment. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, beginning August 19, 2025, and concluding at the end of the school year, providing a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week with weekends and holidays off.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Supporting students in cross categorical classrooms by adapting instructional methods and materials
- Collaborating closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to promote student success
- Monitoring and documenting student progress in compliance with state guidelines
- Maintaining positive communication with families and guardians
Qualifications for this role include:
- Active Special Education teaching license valid in Missouri
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive practices
