Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and leaf removals
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as digging, edging, and installing hardscape features
- Operate mowers including push mowers, commercial walk behind mowers, and commercial stand on mowers
- Carry and stack wall stone and pavers for hardscaping projects
- Spread materials including mulch, stone, topsoil etc. using hand tools
- Support excavation projects by spotting for operator and using laser level and measuring equipment
Requirements
- A strong willingness to learn is essential, prior landscape experience is a bonus but candidate must be willing to learn and grow into the position
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and basic equipment operation is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Basic understanding of construction processes and hardscape installation techniques is a plus
- Must be able to lift 100lbs repeatedly and transport materials over difficult terrain
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to the shop each day is required
- Must be willing to work a varying work schedule dependent on weather and work requirements
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
