Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility in Colorado)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities or neurodiversity, is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and a commitment to student-centered teaching
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, general education teachers, and support staff
- Enthusiasm for participating in inclusive, residential, and academic programs
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver specially designed instruction to elementary students on a caseload model
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with input from team members and families
- Partner with inclusive residential and community initiatives to enrich learning and life skills
- Track student progress and adapt instructional strategies to support varying needs
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development
