JOB SUMMARY
The Kit Cutter is responsible for following detailed work instructions to hand-cut or digitally machine-cut prepreg composite material preparing kits for layup and lamination. The Kit Cutter also maintains freezer inventory, ordering and stocking material and kits. This position operates in a clean room and must wear employer-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

The Kit Cutter directly reports to the Senior Cleanroom Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITIONEducation, Training, and/or Experience
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in composite manufacturing preferred

- Regularly required to stand and walk without support and for extended periods of time
- Regularly required to use eye-hand coordination, repetitive hand movements, manual dexterity, and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to bend, lean, and reach to shoulder level
- Occasionally required to sit without support, climb, crouch, or kneel
- Regularly required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 70 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing level within normal/average range
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIESTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Basic computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work with and handle prepreg composite material (PPE provided by employer)
- Ability to occasionally handle hazardous chemicals (i.e., MPK, Frekote, Isoproyl Alcohol) (PPE provided by employer)
- Ability to work in a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and temperature-controlled environment including use of walk-in freezers
- Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain techniques, time requirements, and quality standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Follow written work instructions
- Set up composite material and hand-cut or machine-cut plies to create kits
- Operate digital cutting system to run preprogramed operations
- Write down material data as required by work order or planning instructions
- Bag or distribute kits to Layup Technicians
- Order and stock material in freezers
- Maintain inventory of material and kits on-hand
- Utilize the computer to open electronic files for review and enter data using Microsoft Excel
- Clean work area multiple times daily
- Other duties as assigned
