Building Maintenance Engineer

Job DescriptionOur busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented maintenance engineer to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. You'll be in charge of the building's maintenance and preventative programs daily to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. The ideal candidate for this position will be an outstanding communicator, a team player, and, above all, someone who enjoys engaging with new people. $22 - $23 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment
• React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts
• Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines
• Complete all work orders and fix maintenance problems promptly
• Keep an open line of communication with other team members and staff

• Assuring the hotel is clean and trash-free

Qualifications:

• You will need 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required
• Ability to use web-based software, including facilities maintenance software preferred
• Driver’s license and outstanding driving record is necessary
• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required
