Job Title: Human Resources Generalist II

Location: This position offers flexible work options and can be based onsite in Berea, KY, hybrid, or fully remote from any U.S. location outside of California.


The Human Resource Generalist oversees daily HR operations, including hiring, interviewing, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training programs, including safety and anti-harassment training.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including interviewing, background checks, and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and implement employee recognition programs.
  • Administer and execute HR programs related to compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, disciplinary matters, and occupational health and safety.
  • Address employment-related inquiries and escalate complex matters as needed.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Experience:2-3 years of experience in the generalist role.
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to access and navigate organizational facilities as needed.
