Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a hospital-based assignment. This role includes providing care across labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units in a dynamic acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units
- Assist with and circulate cesarean section procedures
- Scrub for C-sections (preferred)
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and infection control standards
Schedule & Work Details:
- 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Floating required between L&D, postpartum, and nursery units
Requirements:
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the last 2 years)
- Experience in hospitals of similar or higher acuity preferred
- Experience circulating C-sections (required)
- Scrubbing experience for C-sections (preferred)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
