Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Perm Accounts Payable Associate to work for a fast paced manufacturing company in the New Hyde Park area.
In Office. 7am-4pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify vendor invoices against receiving reports to ensure accuracy of part numbers, quantities, pricing, and premium freight for all three locations
- Review and process vendor invoices requiring special handling, including DSO items and credits
- Post verified invoices into the accounting system and maintain proper filing
- Update and distribute debit memos as required
- Verify freight bills for both incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare and assist with vendor payment processing and check generation, including mid-month and month-end payment cycles
- Maintain manufacturer certificates of conformance files
- Enter and maintain vendor information in the accounting system
- Prepare all Park City invoices and forward government billing documentation to the Accounts Receivable Associate
- Enter Shipper's Export Declarations (SED) as backup support to the Accounts Receivable Manager
- Retrieve and organize supporting documentation for U.S. Government payments and provide to the Accounts Receivable Manager
- Serve as backup for processing outgoing mail through the postage machine
- Send resale certificates and W-9 forms to vendors and customers upon request
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and printed forms
- Complete additional assignments and administrative support tasks as required by the company
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of related accounts payable or accounting experience
Preferred:
- AS400 experience
