Summary: Job Summary: This position oversees a portion of Bethesda's Memory Care neighborhood and gives close to Recreation Director experience. This position must have a passion for working with people with dementia and memory care. This position is responsible for ensuring the neighborhood overseen is provided purposeful and meaningful activities and experiences that are personalized to improve quality of life for Bethesda’s residents. This position creates and implements the activity calendar and ensures all assessments, care plans, and other documentation is completed. This leadership position provides support, coaching, and direction to recreation team members; supports implementation of programming and strategic initiatives for the department; and plays a significant role in contributing to a positive culture for individuals to live and work.

Bethesda is a non-profit social ministry that continues to expand to meet the needs of the surrounding communities.
Scheduled Hours: 80 hours per pay period; Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support on weekends as needed.
Preferred Experience and Education: Preferred two years experience in a recreational healthcare setting. Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by National Council for Therapeutic Recreation. Preferred Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field is preferred
