An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support within a K-12 educational setting in Newark, DE. This contract position focuses on serving students from 8th to 12th grade, addressing their communication needs and facilitating effective learning.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
- Ability to mentor Clinical Fellows (CFY) and support their development.
- Valid Delaware state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to facilitate communication goals and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
