Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Intake Technician in a retail oncology pharmacy setting. This role requires a dedicated pharmacy technician with experience managing prescription intake processes and patient profile creation. The position offers a Contract to Hire arrangement, providing a pathway to permanent employment.
Responsibilities:
- Create patient profiles and process orders efficiently using electronic prescription and fax queues.
- Manage refill requests and handle incoming documents from the fax server.
- Maintain accurate prescription files and ensure data entry is up to date in the computer system.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support daily operations in a high-volume oncology retail environment.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a registered pharmacy technician.
- Specific experience with pharmacy intake processes.
- Pharmacy technician registration in the state of employment is required.
- PTCB certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing procedures and maintaining prescription files.
